Shutter Speeds
Brownie Cameras along with other Kodak Box Cameras were manufactured with shutter speeds of 1/35-1/50 seconds.
Cameras marked "F" are 1/50 seconds.
Cameras marked "." are 1/45 seconds.
Cameras marked "S" are 1/40 seconds.
Adjustable cameras are: 1sec - 1/2 - 1/5 - 1/10 - 1/25 - 1/50 - 1/100 - 1/200 - 1/400
Shutter speeds may not stay, and probably aren't, as accurate as they were when new. Testing your camera with a roll or two of film will help you find out about your particular camera. Besides, it's also fun!
