Description:
The No.2A Brownie Special is a basic box camera using 116 film with a Kodak Doublet lens and has 2 reflecting viewfinders. It features 2 pull tabs, one for multiple f/stops and a shutter "bulb" setting for time exposures.
As a limited production, and mostly export-only model, these are less common than other Brownies. Only a few where sold in the USA.
Fun Facts:
Though produced for export, a few were sold in the US in 1933 as part of a Kodak dealer Christmas promotion. The rest of the No.2A Brownie Special cameras were exported with the majority going to the Australian market.
This model is harder to find than most other Brownie cameras.
A special thanks to Daniel Clement for bringing this camera to my attention and for supplying the wonderful images!
